On April 29, 2026, the Coachella Valley came together at Desert Willow Golf Resort to honor the men and women who protect our communities every day. The Inaugural Honoring Our Heroes Golf Tournament brought together players, sponsors, and supporters for a day of golf — and a lasting commitment to our first responders.
Thanks to the generosity of our players, sponsors, and supporters, the Inaugural Honoring Our Heroes Golf Tournament raised thousands for the Riverside County Deputy Sheriff Relief Foundation and the Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund. Every dollar goes directly to the families who need it most.
This Year's Heroes
Deputy Larissa Olivares | Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Badge #662
Deputy Olivares joined the Riverside County Sheriff's Department in November 2024. Just months into her career, she responded to a critical incident at the Avenue 48 and Dillon Road overpass and demonstrated extraordinary composure, compassion, and skill to safely guide an individual in crisis to safety. Her actions directly saved a life.
Firefighter Paramedic Owen Bubion | Riverside County Fire Department, CALFIRE
When Medic 69 arrived at a Palm Desert PetSmart on New Year's Day 2026, Riverside County Sheriff's deputies were already performing CPR on a patient in cardiac arrest. Firefighter Paramedic Owen Bubion and his crew took over, initiating advanced life support and working to stabilize a patient whose heart had stopped. Through sustained resuscitation efforts, the team was able to revive a heartbeat. By the time the patient arrived at Eisenhower Medical Center, he was awake and talking.
His captain, Kyle Jordan, has described him as a trusted medical resource for the entire department — someone who makes those around him better.
